Sorek Desalination Center
Installation of wet accumulators at the Sorek Desalination site
The Sorek Desalination site is located about 15 kilometers south of Tel Aviv, Israel, and opened in October 2013 with a seawater treatment capacity of 624,000m3/day, making it the world’s largest seawater desalination plant.
Tensor Systems has installed three high-performance Socomec 80kva Wet Accumulators at the site to support the center’s energy demand during peak periods.
For longer backup times, each of the systems was also linked to Fiamm’s high-efficiency stationary batteries.
